The first thing that struck me about this contents was how clearly this magazine has targeted it's audience with the contents it includes. The yellow graphic behind the sub-headings creates smaller groups of content within the contents page, and also breaks the page up a bit. The content itself plays a huge part in attracting its target audience. They have clearly thought about, and successfully included content that will attract their audience into buying their product. Things like band news, album reviews, feature articles and live band reviews will all appeal to their target audience. Even the bands included in the magazine have clearly been thought through and match the current musical interests of their supposed target audience. With this magazine being labelled 'modern rock', they must include conent that fits under this band of music, thus appealing to their audience. I believe they have done very well and have clearly thought about the bands they have included.
The images on this page also play a big part in appealing to their audience. The majority of people in the many images all appear to be dressing resonably similar, meaning the magazine has established exactly what their target audience will dress like, or enjoy to see. The fact that there are many imagaes also backs up the idea that Kerrang is largely an image based magazine. This perhaps fits in with the demographic profile of their audience who will largely fall into the 'working class' social status (C2) or peopel bordering on middle class (C1).
