Demographic Profile
Age: 21-35
Gender: 80% Male, 20% Female
Regionality: Urban, living towards the centre of a city, close to work. Probably living in a reasonably sized flat
Marital Status: Single or in a relationship, but most probably not married. No children
Social Status: BC1- They are likely to be doing well in their work life. Possibly an intermediate position, but certainly working towards a managerial position in the future. Earns a relatively good income; Average for the country, if not slightly above.
Psychographic Profile
My target audience will generally fall under a mixture of two categories: Individuals, and Aspirers. Many will fall under the group of Individuals due to the target age band reaching late teenagers. This means many readers of my magazine are likely to still be in education as students, and are still separated into their own ‘subgroups’ in society. Many will also fall into the group of Aspirers. These people are likely to be between the ages of 21- 30. These people will still have the interests of most late teenagers, but are likely to have set goals in their work life and know what they need to do to succeed.
Lifestyle
They enjoy hobbies such as playing a musical instrument, possibly in a rock band. They like to socialise with their friends, probably at the weekend and down the pub due to their age and their work/education. They enjoy going to gigs and festivals.
