This feature article is from Classic Rock magazine and is part of a much larger article called 'Rock & Roll Survivors', which is 14 pages long.Design/Layout: The first thing I notice about this article is the simplicity in the layout and colours used, similar to the contents page of his magazine. This simplicity connotes a certain sophistication of the reader, which reflects with the price of the magazine (£4.99). This also reflects on the average readers age and maturity levels. The two page spread also features many of the standard conventions of feature articles in music magazines e.g. A title, kicker, main image, drop cap, guttering, and a pull quote.
However, beneath the certain level of sophistication, the main image depicts a certain rebellious side to the band, perhaps linking to their past. The clothes they are wearing e.g. black band t-shirts, and studs, help to show this, as does the way they are standing in the picture
Content: The band featured on this spread have clearly been thought about in regards to what will appeal to their target audience. This particular band certainly fall under the label of 'Classic Rock' as they were around over 30 years ago. The pull quote used on this page also adds to the rebellious image of the band.
