The only piece of software I used to create create my work was photoshop. Before starting this course, i had very little knowledge on photoshop or how it functioned. Initially I learnt how to use photoshop through the online lessons provided on the college's online network. These really helped me to develop a basic understanding of photoshop, and how to work photoshop at a very basic level. My skills developed further, by just spending time playing around with the programme before the I started the coursework. During the production of my work however, I used lessons provided on youtube on how to use some of the more complicated and advanced functions in the software. These really allowed me to develop my photoshop skills a lot.
From using photoshop, I have learnt that is very good for a lot of things and i now realise why it is considered the 'Industry Standard' software. This is due to the vast amount of functions and tools it provides for creating pieces of work, and editing and manipulating images etc. I also found it very easy to select and edit certain layers in any way i saw fit. One of the few disadvantages to this software however is trying to find a specific layer in the layers task bar. I managed to make this slightly easier by grouping particular layers into folders, but it still was difficult.

This is the logo to the website 'Flickr' which I used to upload images to my blog. From using this website i realised that it is very good for annotating images if needed and to add titles and captions etc. I also realised that Flickr in general is very good for a project like this as it allows other people to comment on your images, and give feedback, as it has a very high user rate. This is the logo for the website 'Blogger' which is where my blog was created. This blog was used to show all of the pieces that make up this piece of coursework. Overall i found this blogging website very easy to use. I really liked how easy it was to edit posts, and to create your own design template to make my blog personal to me. Another good feature of this website is how it can connect to my flickr account. This means it was easy to link images from flickr, to my blog. Once uploaded, the image on my blog acts as a link to the image on flickr where the viewer can see any annotations or comments if there are any.
